The War in Iraq

A day of prayerful support for:
families of service personnel
in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere,
as well as returned veterans from recent international conflicts.

Are you family to someone currently, or formerly, deployed in these wars? Are you a veteran of these war fronts? This day of prayer and conversation is designed for you.

Come to Paul VI Pastoral Center to share your experiences, to pray for peace, to hear how deeply the Catholic Church cares about you and will work for your good.

A veteran of the Iraqi war who works in the Wheeling Veterans Center will address those who gather. There will be opportunity for sharing experiences and asking questions. The day is framed with prayer and fraternity.

We will pray for peace in our world and the safe return of every man and woman in military service. We will pray for those who have died and those who have sustained injury. We will pray for the families who suffer the distress of waiting and worrying.
